Imagine an ultra-modern, safe and timely way to ease traffic congestion and travel in comfort between two of the fastest-growing cities in Texas. Now, imagine hundreds of rural landowners forced to give up or drastically modify their own property to make way for an urban convenience many will never use. Such is the controversy surrounding Texas Central Railway's bullet train scheduled for construction late 2017. Some see it as a boon to an already thriving area, while others live with the threat of giving up their legacy ranches by force.
